Video: Lamborghini Countach vs. Aventador Roadster

On the heels of our heavily debated E46 M3 vs. Fiesta ST video, we'd like to crank up the heat in the pot a little bit with another comparison test. This time, we've got 24 cylinders worth of party time: The 2014 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, which retails for $480,000, and a 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000QV, which sold new in 1988 to its first owner, legendary Lambo tuner Al Burtoni, for $115,000, the equivalent of $226,000 in 2014 dollars.

To anyone between the ages of 27 and 40, the Countach is a very special car, and I can almost guarantee there was a poster of it somewhere in your parents house growing up, and yet, many state it's a case of "don't meet your heroes" when it comes time to drive one. The Aventador is, objectively, a much better car. It's faster, safer, better built, has many more gadgets, and all that. But is it really better?
